Obituary of Stanley Gibbons Potter

POTTER, Stanley Gibbons June 8, 1931 - November 8, 2016 Founder of Potters Nurseries Ltd. Suddenly at the Kingston General Hospital following a massive stroke. Dear husband of 64 years to Mildred (nee Cox), loving father of Cindy Potter of Stouffville and Kent (Diane) of Kingston. Grandfather of Brandon and Dana Potter of Kingston, and Lexi Boston of Stouffville. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Eva Potter, brothers Ted and Bud, and sister Blanche Weir. Survived by sisters Doreen Baker of Kingston, Thelma Shaw of Iowa and Elaine Webster (Ross) of Kingston; also several nieces and nephews. Many thanks to Conservatory Pond for their care and support over these past few years. Friends will be received at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Friday, November 11, between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral service in the Chapel on Saturday, November 12 at 11:00 am, with Pastor Rob MacCallum officiating. Interment at Cataraqui Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
