Obituary of Lily Jane DOWN

DOWN, Lily Jane Peacefully, at Helen Henderson Care Centre in Amherstview, and surrounded by the love of family, on Sunday, December 27, 2015. Lily (nee Decker), in her 85th year, beloved wife of Franklin Arthur Down, who predeceased her in 2009. Dear mother of Gerald Down (Barb) of Napanee, Carol Lott (Graham) of Kingston and Sandra See (Robert) of Brighton. Affectionately known as "Grandma" to her five grandchildren, Shane and Brandi (Chris); Brad; Kristen and Amanda, and to two great grandchildren, Luke and Jovie. Survived by her brothers Donald and Ronald and predeceased by siblings, Margaret, Thomas, Arthur, Gordon, Bertha, Sylvia and James. The family extends sincere gratitude to all of Lily's caregivers at Helen Henderson for the care and compassion she received during her stay. In accordance with Lily's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, Kingston, on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 10:00 am to 10:50 am. The Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel at 11:00 am. Inurnment at a later date at Mount Zion Cemetery in Wooler. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or The Salvation Army, in Mrs. Down's memory.
