Obituary of John H. KELLY

Kelly, John H. It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of John H. Kelly on December 27, 2015 in his 86th year. With his family at his side he passed peacefully. He was much loved by his wife of 65 years Sybil R. Kelly, cherished by his daughter Carol Anne Cruise and her husband Gary, and best friend and loving grandfather to Robert J. Hamilton. He is survived by his brother Ray Kelly and sister Mona Beckstead. Predeceased by his sisters, Gertrude Blanchard, Luella Clarke, Margaret Kelly and Leona Ker. John had a love of the outdoors, nature and animals. He was a kind and respected friend to all he met, touching many lives over the course of his life. He waited patiently every year for the frost to leave the ground so that he could work in his gardens, he loved his flowers and the fruits of his labour were enjoyed by everyone who came by to visit. He loved to travel with his family, as a group or with his wife, he marvelled at the things he saw and enjoyed the adventure. Those we hold closest to our hearts never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they have shared and the love they brought into our lives. Following John's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held. For those wishing, donations to the Kingston Humane Society in his name would be appreciated.
