Obituary of Vera Stinson

STINSON, Vera - passed away peacefully at Trillium Ridge Nursing Home on Friday, October, 7, 2016, at the age of 100. Predeceased by her loving husband Ken Stinson and her daughter, Lynda (Alan Wolsey). Dear mother of Reg (Patsy), Bob (Carol), Ray (Sharon), Jim (Karen), Harry (Alise) and Donna (Earl Brown) and grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sisters, Pearl, Pansy, Dora and Margaret and her brother, Alan. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Vera’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctor, nurses and staff at Trillium Ridge for the wonderful care that she received. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Boulevard. Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 6-9pm. Princess Elizabeth Rebekah Lodge No. 358 will be holding a service at 6:00pm, all brothers and sisters welcome. Funeral service in the Chapel on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 11:00am. Reception to follow. Interment at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions in Vera’s memory may be made to UHKF (Cancer Centre of SE Ontario), the War Amps or to the Alzheimer’s Society.
