Obituary of Jeanne SHONIKER

SHONIKER, Jeanne Retired, Bell Telephone Pioneer Peacefully at Trillium Centre, surrounded by the love of family, on Sunday, December 27, 2015. Jeanne (nee Jordan), beloved wife of the late Gerry Shoniker. Dear mother of Barbara Sherman (Bob), John Shoniker (CeCe) and Kathryn Reynolds (Philip). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Daniel and Derek; Angela, Allison and Jordan; Michael, Alysha and Matthew, as well as 10 great grandchildren. Survived by sisters Eileen and Monica. Predeceased by her sisters Mary, Margaret and Rita, and brothers Patrick, Owen and Edward. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Wednesday, December 30, between the hours of 12 noon and 1:50 pm. The Liturgy of the Word will begin at 2:00 pm, with Monsignor Joseph Lynch officiating. A reception will follow in the Reception Centre. Cremation at James Reid Crematorium will be followed by the Rite of Committal at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, in Mrs. Shoniker's memory.
