Obituary of Linda Gail REID

REID, Linda Gail Peacefully at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, after a courageous and valiant battle with cancer, on Thursday, December 24, 2015. Linda (nee McBrien), in her 71st year, beloved wife of Jack Reid for 42 years. Predeceased by her parents, Red and Madeleine (nee Capone) McBrien, brother Dennis McBrien and sister-in-law Blanche McBrien. Loving aunt to Kristy McBrien (Tom Polsak) and their children Braden and Alyssa; Kelly McBrien and her children Kenny (Jess) and Ricky; and great great aunt to Bradley. Also remembered by Jack's daughter Karen Reid, as well as many devoted life-long friends and other friendships made over the years through her many interests and social activities. The family extends sincere gratitude to all of Linda's caregivers and staff from KGH, the Cancer Centre and St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, for their exemplary care provided to her during her illnesses. Friends will be received at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard on Tuesday, December 29 between the hours of 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral service in the Chapel on Wednesday, December 30 at 10:30 am. The interment at Cataraqui Cemetery will be followed by a reception in the James Reid Reception Centre. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to, U.H.K.F. (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario) or Breast Cancer Action Kingston.
