Obituary of Jim EDWARDS

EDWARDS, Jim (James Peter)- March 14, 1948 - September 6, 2016 - It is with great sadness, our family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Loving husband of Carol (Currie), devoted father of Kenneth (Sarah), proud and loving grandpa of Rowen and Connor. Dear brother of Donna Lord (Graham), Howard (Connie) and the late Fred (Lois). Predeceased by his parents James and Jean (Wilson) Edwards. Jim will be lovingly remembered as uncle, great-uncle and great-great uncle to many nieces, nephews and their families, and also by his many cousins and their families. Friends were so important in Jim s life and he was blessed with the support and love from his many friends near and far. Many thanks to all the wonderful doctors and nurses that treated Jim in the past, the incredible Oncology team for their dedication and exceptional care, along with the Palliative Care team, CCAC and the homecare nurses at St. Elizabeth, the palliative staff at St. Mary s of the Lake Hospital, and our friends at Clinic Pharmacy. Special thanks to our friends and neighbours for their loving care and help. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Blvd., where our family will receive friends on Monday, September 12, 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, September 13, at 2 pm. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UHKF (General Cancer Research) in Jim s memory, and may be placed through the Funeral Home.
