To Ann and the Boys, Dan was kind hearted Gentleman who always gave to all and never expected anything in return. He was an excellent co-worker, always willing to help where was needed.. I have lost 2 great former co-workers from HDH and I will always will remember them in my heart. RIP Dan, may you sing with Angels on high.... okay maybe not sing but hum...... My thoughts are with the family at this time.... Sean Casey, CD former CO-Worker at HDH ITS...

I was fortunate enough to have worked with Dan for many years at Hotel Dieu. Dan was a very quiet and caring man. Driving to La Salle in the morning, I would see Dan walking to work. The small "hand wave" was a great start to the morning. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Angela Wilson

I only met Dan a few times, but enough to know what a kind and generous person he was. My deepest condolences to Ann (my dear friend), his sons and all who loved him. His humour and smiling face will be greatly missed.

My daily walk to La Salle will be diminished without seeing Dan. I could tell if one of us was early or late by where we passed one another. If it was somewhere on Main St. in Barriefield, we were on time! I will miss his signature 'Morning', always said with a real lilt. It seems like such a small gesture, but it became part of my morning walk to school, and always put a smile on my face - a great start to my day!
My heart goes out to all of you.

I works with Dan for many years and our daily chats in the Imaging dept brought me a lot of joy, we laughed about many things and h was always so helpful and had such a kind way of going about any computer problems. I am glad I ran into him this summer and had a chance to catch up. My deepest sympathy to his family, he was always telling me about his wife and his boys, a very proud husband and father. Being new to Hotel Dieu I didn't know Dan well, but he definitely made a lasting impression. I will miss how great he was at his job, and the mischievous twinkle he often had in his eyes. It was an honor to have met him and my condolences to all who loved him. Lynda Laird

Dan was a much loved and appreciated member of the Hotel Dieu family. He cheerfully helped out no matter what the vexing computer or printer issue. There was a lot of depth to Dan and those who got to know him were all the richer for it. I will miss seeing him around HDH and in our neighbourhood as we often passed each other as he was starting his early morning walk to work and I was finishing the last part of my morning run. His loss is deeply felt at Hotel Dieu. Sincere condolences to his loving partner and family. Elizabeth Bardon

I had the pleasure of being one of the Hotel Dieu nursing staff who depended on Dan to fix all the glitches on my computer. Over the years we had many chats and two things came across very clearly. He was extremely proud of his sons, and was so very, very happy with Ann.
We will miss him.
