Obituary of Carman Walter NEWCOMBE

NEWCOMBE, Carman Walter Retired Professor, RMC Surrounded by the love of his family, Carman entered into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, on Saturday, August 20, 2016, in his 96th year. Beloved husband of Audrey (nee Sears) for 68 years. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Lillian Newcombe. Exceptional father of Deborah Valliant (Lew), Rodney Newcombe (Janice), Elsbeth Newcombe and Mark Newcombe (Carolyn). Loving grandfather of David, Esther, Rodney, Chelsea and Paul. Survived by Albert and Vivian and predeceased by Eileen and Elmer, and by also survived by Audrey's siblings, Earl and Eldon and predeceased by Velma, Elda, and June. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and their families, as well as his spiritual family at Bethel Church. Blessed with a sharp intellectual wit and a love and concern for everybody he met. Carman led an exemplary and well balanced life. Friends will be received at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Tuesday and Wednesday August 23 and 24th, between the hours of 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service in the Chapel on Thursday, August 25, at 11 am, with Pastor Mark Kotchapaw officiating. Interment at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.
