Obituary of Hugh SHAW

Shaw, Hugh born August 6, 1927. The Toronto Blue Jays lost one of their most loyal fans on Friday, August 12, 2016. Surrounded by the love of his family Hughie took this last breath. Devoted husband of 62 years to the late Marjorie nee Delacour (deceased 2012). Proud father of Karen Gemmill (John) of Bath, the late David Shaw, Laurelle Wilson (Doug) of Nanaimo, BC, Barbara Dool (Clayton) of Sault Ste. Marie, Gina Cooke-Dallin (Greg) of Victoria, BC, and Rob Shaw (Claire) of Newmarket. Most cherished and beloved Poppa to Jordan, Carson, Taylor and Whitney Gemmill, Carly and Michael Dool, Emma, Miles, and Nathan Shaw, Step-Poppa to Candice Wilson-Montgomery (Rick), Geoff Wilson (Heather) and great step-grandfather to Dallan and Ryan Montgomery and Brooklyn Wilson. Family and friends will be received at the James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston) on Sunday from 2-4 pm and on Monday from 10-10:45 am. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, August 15 at 11:00 am, reception to follow. Heartfelt thanks to the Sunshine Boys for their extraordinary friendship, love and support. Special thanks to the Palace (Royale Retirement Home) for their excellent care and compassion. Thank you to the wonderful staff of KGH especially Davies Four for making his last days comfortable.
