Obituary of Marie M. GARRETT

GARRETT (SILVER), Marie M.- Entered peacefully into the presence of her Lord, surrounded by the love of family, on Thursday, August 11, 2016. Marie M. Garrett, in her 72nd year, beloved and adored wife of 51 years to Aubrey Garrett, of Elginburg. Loving and patient mother of Connie Fournier (Mark), Kenneth Garrett (Emmanuele) and Clayton Garrett (Krista). Affectionately known as "Grandma" to Caitlin Marshall (Grady), Joshua Wilkins (Erin), Meghan McMillan (Jared), Jacob Wilkins and Mariah Fournier; Jackson Garrett; and Nicole Garrett (Patrick), and "Great Grandma" to Addison, Clive and Hobbson McMillan. Beloved daughter of the late Clifton and Jean (nee Holmes) Silver. Dear sister of Jim Silver (Bev) and Grace Campbell (Harry). Fondly remembered by the Garrett and Arthur families, as well as her spiritual family at the Kingston Citadel. Marie's family extend sincere gratitude to all of her health care providers at KGH for their exemplary care and compassion. Friends will be received at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Tuesday, August 16 between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm, and on Wednesday, August 17 at the KINGSTON CITADEL OF THE SALVATION ARMY, 816 Centennial Drive, from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. The family will gather privately at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens for the Committal. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the SALVATION ARMY (KINGSTON CITADEL), in Mrs. Garrett's memory.
