My husband Daniel Kubit knew Jay in Texas, and Jay was in our wedding in 1996. My husband passed three weeks ago. They are enjoying good times in heaven. Prayers for your loss. Rosemary Kubit, Fairview Tn.

We offer you our heartfelt condolences. We shall do our best to support you in the difficult time ahead. Please do not hesitate to reach out. We encourage you to look back on fond memories of your many years with Jay and be thankful for them. We did not know Jay well but very much enjoyed your visit to our house. We admired his bravery and were thankful for the emails he sent us while we were in Europe. We did not expect for him to die before we came back. "May he be in a better place", as you said.
Tucker and Anke (neighbours and friends)

Wendy. Sorry to hear of Jay's passing. I only met him once, at Daniel's wedding in Chicago, but there are pictures in my head of that fun-filled night. We had such a great time. Wayne Jacobsen

JAck and I are so sorry to learn of Jay's passing. He was a wonderful man, full of good cheer and witty conversation. The world is a little darker without him in it.
Sadly, JAck and Suzie Siegal

Oh Wendy,
I am so sorry.
As you know I know firsthand the heartbreak of watching a husband being ill and losing the fight.
I am at a loss for words now.

Jay, Brother and Uncle
We are so grateful to have gotten to know you. We had the special privilege of accompanying you for parts of your life and we gained much happiness and joy from knowing you.
We only got to know each other later in life but then we immediately became a transnational family. We took up contact for the first time after Marcia, your niece, was born in 1986. After writing letters for almost ten years, we finally came to visit you in Texas in the spring of 1995. Fairly regular visits followed: Christmas 1997 in New York, Summer 1999 on Long Island, 2000 Marcia s confirmation in Germany, 2004 Salt Lake City, 2005 New York with Wendy, 2006 Canada with Marcia, and your trip to Germany to visit the entire family, and 2009 Marcia s graduation at Mount Holyoke College. Even when we did not see each other, you always remained part of our lives through regular emails and phone calls.
We will remember you for your savoir vivre. You showed us how wonderful life can be! We enjoyed so much together: we explored the Christopher Columbus boats and the NASA space center, we walked beaches, watched musicals like Footloose and Phantom of the Opera, listened to concerts from Heart and Sara Brightman and ate the best steak at Ruth Kristy Stake House. In Salt Lake City ,we listed to the marvelous Tabernacle Choir, were impressed by the vastness of the Salt Lake as much as your offer to have Marcia stay with you during college. You and Wendy did not miss out on the milestones in your niece s life neither on shopping to send Marcia off to college nor on celebrating her graduation. In between you took her on a generous Spring Break vacation to Canada where you explored the Niagara Falls and Toronto and walked down memory lane exploring your student days.
We will always remember and miss you as our beloved uncle and brother. We were able to connect in a very special way with you. Our heartfelt thanks for making our lives so special. You will live on in both of us.
With love we will always remember you
Renate and Marcia
