Obituary of William James PESTER

Pester, William James - We are saddened to announce the passing of William James Pester on Wednesday July 6, 2016 at the Trillium nursing home. Born November 10th 1936 to Florence and Charles Pester in Kingston, Ontario. He married Ruby MacLeod (Pester deceased) June 22, 1957. Loving Father to Larry, Mark (Linda), and Shannon Pester. Grandfather to Chelsea, Stacey and Richard. Great grandfather to Benn, Cooper, Owen and Makenzie. Brother to Violet, Charles (deceased), Edna (deceased). William served on the Kingston Police Force from Jan 1963 - Feb 1965. Then as an Auxiliary constable with the Ontario Provincial Police from June 1975 - November 30, 2002. 1980 - 1997 he worked at ES Fox as a plumber & estimator. He spent most of his free time volunteering with many local charities including relay for life, the boys and girls club amongst many others. In 1984 he was awarded the Ontario Bicentennial Award, awarded to those who give tirelessly to build a better society. His list of awards and recognitions are endless.
