Obituary of Gladys HARKNESS

Harkness, Gladys Muriel (nee Flavell) We are saddened to announce the passing of our mom, Gladys Harkness in her 97th year, at the Helen Henderson Care Centre Retirement Home on Monday, July 4, 2016. Gladys, beloved wife of the late James Thomas Harkness and dear companion of the late Arthur "Lucky" Williams. Loving mother of Judy and her husband John Elliott, Kingston, Nancy and her husband Brian Emond, Wyevale, On, Donald and his wife Lu Ann, Inverary, Jo-Ann and her husband Ted Symons, Midland and Linda and her late husband Robert Maracle, Kingston. She will be lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Gladys was predeceased by her brothers Cyril "Cy" and Harold Flavell and is survived by her dear niece Susan Tyerman. Cremation at James Reid Crematorium. A graveside service will be held at Cataraqui Cemetery on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 1:15pm. Please meet at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard at 1:00 to go in procession to the cemetery. Reception to follow in the James Reid Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gladys' memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
