ANSON, George William "Sonny" - In his 81st year, Sonny passed away surrounded by his family. Beloved husband and best friend of Marilyn (nee Sagriff), dear father to Michele Miller (Barry), Kim Dodds (Tom), Jeff (Kathy), and Chris. Predeceased by son Michael, and parents Jack and Carrie Anson. Cherished papa of Dustin, Chelsea (Dave), Kylie, Kourtney, and Michael. Brother Buddy Anson (Patti), Dolly Gilmour, Barb Baldwin, Susan Scott (Wayne), predeceased Anna Mae Evans (Ron) Brother-in-law of Eileen Murphy, Helen Kidd, Patricia Kidd, Ruth Sagriff, Anna Claire Sagriff, Leon (Shirley) predeceased Doreen Dillon, Joseph Sagriff, Bernice Anderson, Leonard Sagriff, Ronald Sagriff, Gerard Sagriff, Bernard Sagriff. Special thanks to caring nurses Pam Branscombe and Leanne Hagerman, and all the staff on Davies 3, coronary Care Unit, and the Renal Unit. Visitation will be held at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PAUL THE APOSTLE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1111 Taylor Kidd Boulevard on Thursday, July 7 at 11:00am. Reception to follow in the church hall.
