Obituary of Phillip TOMPKINS

TOMPKINS, Phillip Clinton - Peacefully passed away at the St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital on Friday, July 1, 2016, at the age of 87. Phillip, beloved husband of the late Annie (nee Morey). Dear brother of Edgar Tompkins (Viola). Loving step-father of Betty (the late Carmen), Peter (the late Jane), Barbara (Nelson), the late Bonnie (Donald), the late Bernice (John) and the late Beverley. Phillip will be lovingly remembered by his numerous step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, his niece and nephew and their families. Phillip was also predeceased by his parents Harvey and Ethel (Hines). A heartfelt thank you is extended to the staff at the Cancer Centre at KGH and at the St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, for the wonderful care that Phillip received. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at the St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery, Sandhurst, ON. For those who wish, donations in Phillip's memory may be made to the U.H.K.F. (Cancer Centre of SE ON at KGH) or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
