Obituary of Anne Marie LEAKE

LEAKE, Anne Marie August 5, 1923 - June 25, 2016 After a wonderful long life, Marie died at home at The Waterford Retirement Residence in Kingston. Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Leake. Loving mother of Lee Anne (Tom) George, Sandra (Don) Giesebrecht, Margaret Barker and Neil (Fran) Bateman. Caring BauBau to grandchildren Randy, Jeffrey and Noel (Tamara) George, Matt (Kirsty McCulloch) Giesebrecht and Sarah Giesebrecht Lamothe, Corey and Megan (Mark Salmond) Barker and Christopher, Ashley (Todd Gaspari) and Laura (Andy Chapman) Bateman; great-grandsons Lukas George, Jonathan Conway and Caelan and Nolan Barker. Predeceased by grandson Michael Bateman. Marie had many wonderful friends from her time in Carleton Place, Kingston and at The Waterford and we thank them for their friendship. Please know that you were all special to her. Thank you to the caring staff of The Waterford and Red Cross Care Partners who went out of their way to help Mom. Your kindness will never be forgotten.There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 130 Wiley Street (at Weller Avenue), on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00 am., followed by the Rite of Committal with Prayers at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, 718 Division Street. A reception will be held immediately afterwards in the Reception Centre of the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Boulevard (please enter from the rear parking lot). As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Lung Association would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
