DOUGLAS, James (Jim) Scoular

After a lifetime of adventure and travel, on January 25, 2021, James (Jim) Scoular Douglas reached his final destination. Jim is loved and missed dearly by his partner of 16 years Philip Rose, his siblings Marie Caley, Dave Douglas (Marg), and his nieces and nephews, Jay, Alison, Emily, and Paula; and his six great nieces and nephews. Jim will be sorely missed by his friends from around the world, and his former colleagues from Trimark Investments. Jim’s zest for life took him to all seven continents, creating unforgettable memories and stories for all who were privileged to share his adventures. While enhancing all of our lives Jim was a very generous donor to many charitable organizations and thereby contributed to improving the lives of many others. We are blessed to have laughed and discoed with Jim, following  his example of living your best life. Jim has been reunited with his parents Jean and Charles Douglas; his brother- in-law Henry Caley;  his former wife Louise Svarich; and partners Miles Martin and Billy Chaisson. When COVID restrictions are lifted and circumstances permit, plans will be made for a celebration of life in both eastern and western Canada.
