Obituary of Anna Josephine MURRAY

MURRAY, Anna Josephine Passed away peacefully in her sleep at Providence Manor, on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Anna (nee Powell), in her 99th year, beloved wife of Kenneth Lawrence Murray who predeceased her in 1999. Dear mother of the late Patricia McCue (her husband Tim) of Kingston and the late Mary Ramsay (her husband Duane) of Inverary. Affectionately known as "Nan" to her granddaughters, Lynette Skeggs (Murray), Gayle McKinlay (Robert), Wendy Mundell (John) and Cathy Tidman (David), and remembered also by her great grandchildren, Hillary and Madison, Elizabeth and Patrick, and Nathan. The family extends their heart-felt gratitude to all of Nan's caregivers on Sydenham 3 at Providence Manor for the exemplary care and compassion provided to her. Anna's dedication to her volunteer work at both Hotel Dieu Hospital and Providence Manor will not soon be forgotten. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held in OUR MOTHER OF SORROWS CHAPEL at PROVIDENCE MANOR, 275 Sydenham Street, on Thursday, June 9 at 11:00 am. (Visitation from 10:30 am until time of Mass). Monsignor Joseph Lynch celebrating. Rite of Committal with Prayers will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy and in recognition of Anna's commitment to her volunteer work and in later years, her subsequent care, donations may be made to U.H.K.F. (Providence Manor).
