Obituary of Gordon Richard OLSEN

OLSEN, Gordon Richard Unexpectedly at home, on Saturday, May 28, 2016. Gordon Olsen, age 80 years, son of the late John and Ruby (nee LaRush) Olsen. Survived by his children, Lori Moloney (James) of Ennismore, Jane Boyce (Kent) of Ajax and Ron Olsen (Patti) of Gananoque, as well as grandchildren, Thomas and Kelsy Moloney, Aidan Boyce, and Kennedy and Rafferty Olsen. Also survived by sisters, Blanche Kennedy (late Murray), Emma Murphy (late Ken), Joyce Revelle (late Vern) and Marilyn Birtch (Marvin), all of Kingston, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as long time friend, Joan Pitts. Predeceased by brothers, Ron, Ken and Jim Olsen. The Liturgy of the Word service will be held in the Chapel of the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Thursday, June 2, at 1:30 pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 pm to 1:20 pm and during a reception after the service. Cremation at James Reid Crematorium will be followed by the Rite of Committal with Prayers at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, in memory of Gordon.
