Such a wonderful photo of Charlene. I didn't know Charlene well, but I remember her being part of my Mother's friends' circle when Charlene lived near Queen's. So sorry for your loss.

Sandi and Susan,
Although it has been a very long time since we last met, I wanted you to know you have my thoughts. I enjoyed your mother's company. I still remember the day we discovered we were related.
Stay well.

Dear Sandi, and Susan,
I am deeply saddened for your loss of your mom. She was so kind to me when I was young, including me in so many adventures with all of you, which I will never forget. Her generousity, caring, laughter, and that twinkle in her eye as she told you about her day or planned an outing around Kingston, is forever in my heart. Thank you for letting me tag along and share in the fun. Hugs to you both.

Dear Sandi & Suze
My heartfelt condolences to the both of you. Even though I hadn't seen your mom (except on Facebook) for about 36 years or so I will always fondly remember her as one of my favourite people. She was kind, generous, funny, considerate and was the absolute epitome of grace, class and style.
It was clear that the two of you were as devoted to her as she was to you. I am so sorry for your loss and for the time you all lost together because of the pandemic. I wish you strength and peace as you navigate this new passage.
I will look more closely at every butterfly that flutters by now, looking to see if it is wearing a kicky cap!
Love to you both
Janice

Charlene was my friend, my ex-sister-in-law, a confidant, and supporter. Over the many years I have known her we didn’t always see one another often but when we did, those times were special and filled with excitement to be together and love for one another. She was a very talented woman who loved to sew, cook, and yes, tell stories. My heart is sad to know I will not have another conversation with her but I know she was suffering and needed relief from that pain and sorrow that no doctor could provide. Rest in the peace you so deserve my dear friend. I’m sure the butterflies are fluttering in happiness to see you!

Dear Susan and Sandi,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. As you may remember, I was Susan's grade one teacher and it was through that connection that I met your mother. She and I met countless times and I mean countless times on the street, in the Y's parking lot on her way to or from the shopping centre and on the buses. She was always so cheerful, so well-dressed and so, so proud of both of you.
My mother passed away last June at age 101, and ever since then my 2 sisters and I connect her passing with butterflies so when I read the final lines of your mother's obituary, I felt I had to tell you that when we see one we think she is communicating with and checking up on us! By the way, we too always called her Mommy - so you see there is a link between your family and mine.
May your mother's memory be a blessing for you and your dad.
