My Condolences to all of Arthur's (Jack's) family from a member of his St. Mark's Barriefield Church family. Jack was a lovely cheerful person who was always ready to adapt to situations as they arose. One Sunday at the early morning 0830 service a unique instance arose where only Jack and our former minister, Fr.Haynes Hubbard were in attendance. So after waiting for possible late arrivals, there being none,the adaptive and ever practical person that Jack was,invited Fr.Haynes to his home for breakfast. We will assume it was an interesting worship service held over breakfast. While he was still able Jack could always be relied upon to light the candles at the altar prior to the 0830 service and to extinguish them at its end. Arthur(Jack) will be sorely missed by all who knew him. I am Thankful to have had the chance to meet Arthur and join him on occasion to worship at at the 0830 service.
