Obituary of Stephen Paul Norris
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Stephen “Chuck” Norris on April 20, 2023 in Kingston, Ontario at the age of 51. Stephen was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and is survived by his loving parents Paul and Edna Norris.
Stephen proudly served his country for more than 30 years. He enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1990 in response to a high school teacher who told him he would never make it through basic training. This challenge turned into 19 years of service and the completion of 3 Operational Deployments overseas including Somalia and Rwanda. Upon leaving the military he continued to serve Canada as a member of the Public Service.
Stephen was a loyal soldier, friend but above all an incredibly proud father to his three sons,Troy Myra and twin boys, Connor (Emily) Norris and Brendan (Taylor) Norris. Stephen is also survived by his brother John (Cheryl) Norris, sister Catherine (Shawn) MacKenzie as well as his Aunt Heather who has been a great support to Stephen's parents during this difficult time. Stephen was loved by his 2 nieces Makenna and Tory as well as his nephew Jackson.
The family would like to take the opportunity to thank Stephen's many friends, who in their time of immense grief, have come together and stepped up to assist Stephen's boys as they try to navigate this unimaginable loss. Your brotherhood and overwhelming support has been a constant in Stephen's life and will never be forgotten. It truly is a testament to the love and respect you all have for one another.
And lastly to " Stephen" "Chuck" or "Dad" - We love you and will miss you beyond words. While you may no longer be with us in body, we will keep your memory alive with our countless stories and memories. We are not going to say good bye (as that is way too hard) but rather see you later.
