SIMONE, Lorie (Lorenzo) Stephen

1933 – 2020

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Lorie in Kingston on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at the age of 87.

Lorie, beloved husband of 66 years to Angie (nee Miandro).  Loving father of Stephen (Celera) of BC, Paula D’Alessandro (Lou) of Huntsville and Cathy Visser (Jack) of Port Credit.  Proud pappa of nine treasured grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  Lorie will be sadly missed by his brother Victor (Barbara) and sister Virginia Simone.

Lorie was a passionate sailor, and was the founding member of TINA, 1000 Island Nonsuch Association.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private Liturgy of the Word service will be held, followed by the interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Thornhill, ON.  For those who wish, donations in Lorie’s memory may be made to Canadian Food for Children: 1258 Lakeshore Rd E., Mississauga, On L5E 1E9 (905 274-9239) in lieu of flowers.
