Obituary of Shirley Aline Warford
The word Mother means many different things to different people. For my brother and I, it was the definition of one of the most constant, reliable, supportive, loving things in our lives. She gave us life and lived every second of it with us. When we made her a Grandmother, she wore that badge of honour with pride and made all seven grandkids her joy. From the time of birth, she celebrated every event, achievement, and milestone.
July 31st, we said goodbye to her as she left us, peacefully, following her 3 year battle with Cancer.
Mom had so many titles. Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, Friend, Wife and Daughter. She will forever be with us.
She is pre-deceased by her husband Len and leaves behind daughter Kyshna Willman (Patrick), son Preston (Adriana), grandchildren Kyle, Alex, Jared (Jordan) Kameron, Athena, Chloe and Pandora.
Lovingly missed by sister Bonnie and brother in law Stephen, brother Denny and sister in law Donna, and many nieces, and nephews. Her many friends and neighbours and teaching colleagues grieve with us and of course our extended family in Newfoundland.
Thank you to all the staff at KHSC Cancer Centre and the staff at Providence Care palliative wing for your amazing care in her final days.
“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”
