Obituary of Luigi Grossutti
Luigi Grossutti passed away peacefully on May 17 into the arms of his loving Father. Married 60 years to Giulia, who remained by his side as his primary caregiver and life-long friend.
Luigi took great pride in his children and was a wonderful father to his son Frank (Deanna Grossutti) and daughter Mary (Ben Mussari). His memory will continue to live on through his grandchildren, Alanna, Joel and Jacquelyn Grossutti, Michael and Madison Mussari. They will dearly miss their Nonno, who always cared for and supported them.
For those who knew Luigi, they can attest that he was a hard-working, caring, and selfless individual. In his 90 years, he remained rooted in his faith and never spoke ill of anyone. We fondly remember Luigi for the care he took of his garden, his love of soccer, and his Sunday card games at the Italian Club.
A sincere thanks is extended to Dr. Jay Izard and the Interventional Radiology team at Kingston General Hospital for the dedicated and compassionate care they provided over the last few years. We would also like to acknowledge and thank all the individuals who aided Luigi at his home over the last couple of years.
The family will receive friends at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (392 Palace Rd, Kingston) on Friday, May 20 from 9:30 am until time of the funeral mass at 10 am. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Luigi’s memory can be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Kingston, Ontario.
