Czeslawa Sikora

Obituary of Czeslawa Nizinska Sikora

Czeslawa arrived in Montreal by boat with her 3 kids, from Poland in 1962 with only a few suitcases. Eagerly awaiting their arrival to Canada was her husband Czeslaw. Together they worked tirelessly to build a home and a new life for their family of 5.

Czeslawa known to many as Babica, and known by her neighbors as Stella was always helping others. Sharing vegetables from her garden with friends, handing money to the kids in the neighborhood to buy themselves popsicles at the corner store and cooking Polish meals to serve to those around her, she was as generous as she was strong.

She is survived by her sons and their wives Janusz (Christine), Alfred (Jackie) and Kris (Fay). She also had five grandchildren Cynthia (Stephane), Amy (Mike), Nancy (Michael), Candace (Luke) and Kevin. She will also be greatly missed by her nine great grandchildren Melodie, Valerie, Rebecca, Jacob, Makayla, Bryanna, Lukas, Claire and James. Czeslawa is survived by her sisters in Poland Irena, Krysia and Marisia, predeceased by sisters, Janina and Genowefa.

In lieu of flowers, we are accepting donations to a cause we know Czeslawa cherished, her family in Poland. Donations can be made using this link: https://gofund.me/dbf822ec .
