Obituary of Marg La Forty
La Forty, Margaret, Marg or Margie to most, passed away in her 95th year peacefully in her sleep on March 31, 2020 at Providence Manor. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by Carol, Sean, Keira and Keegan and was a special aunt to Joan, Jim, Gwen, Joe, Jack (deceased), Heather, Brad, Marnie, and Leigh. Marg was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1976. Marg was known for her smile, thoughtfulness, and genuinely caring ways. She developed many friendships and has left those that knew her with many fond memories. Marg was a long time employee of Alcan and worked in the shipping department in the South Plant for many years. We wish to thank the doctors, nurses, and support staff for their compassionate care that Marg and her family received. Due to the pandemic, there will be a private burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery. A mass at St. John the Apostle Church will take place at a date to be determined. For those who wish, donations in Marg’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
