Obituary of Jo-Ann Linda Johnston

Jo-Ann Linda Johnston (Brierley) was born on September 20, 1948, in Kingston Ontario. Predeceased by her father Joseph Brierley, mother Lillian Brierley (Reid), and brother George Brierley. Survived by sisters Marilyn Brethorm (Norm), Elisie Brierley, Sharon Burrell (Orval), Dianne Hollywood (Dwight), Mary Jane Stephenson (Eddie), Debbie Dean (Arthur), Sylvia Elmer (Henry), brother Bill Brierley, many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, grandchildren Gabriella Johnston (Rick), Hayden Johnston (Rick), Lou Best (Jennifer), great-grandchildren Mason Neil-Johnston.

Jo-Ann and Richard met in Kingston Ontario at the age of 18 and married on July 16, 1969. They had one son Richard Wayne Johnston Jr and one daughter Jennifer Lilly Best. Joanne was a second mom to a lot of children in her time - 32 years of daycare. She loved her family with her entire being. She was a very proud wife of 52 years, mother, grammy, and great-grammy.

Cremation has been entrusted to the James Reid Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be made to University Hospitals Kingston Foundation - Cancer Center.
