Obituary of Gerald GILMOUR

GILMOUR, Gerald "Jerry" Wm. Peacefully, at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital following a lengthy and courageus battle with cancer, on Monday, May 2, 2016. Jerry Gilmour, in his 57th year, beloved husband and soul-mate of Sandra (nee Martin) of Kingston, for 38 years. Loving father of Brooke Haley (Ryan) of Brockville and Brent Gilmour of Kingston. Doting grandfather to Lincoln, Tyson and Taylor Haley. Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Mary (nee Gregory) Gilmour. Dearly loved brother of Patty Lattimore (Terry) of Kingston. Cherished son-in-law of Raymond and Eunice Martin, brother-in-law of Sheryl Cifala (Phil), Bob Martin and Steve Martin, and uncle to nieces, Stacey, Amy and Ashley, as well as nephews, Mark and Jacob. Jerry's furry canine companion "Tucker" will miss him too! The family extends a heart-felt thank you to all who provided kindness and compassion during Jerry's journey, including his father-in-law Ray, his friends Mitch Monette Sr. and Del Jenkins, and to all his caregivers at the Cancer Centre and St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital. In accordance with Jerry's wishes, cremation has taken place under the care of JAMES REID CREMATORIUM. Friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Life at the THE HARBOUR RESTAURANT located in the Portsmouth Olympic Harbour Site, on Saturday, May 14, between the hours of 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to U.H.K.F. (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario or St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital Palliative Care), in memory of Jerry.
