I just learned with shock of Don's passing. I flew with Don in Montreal from 2000-2005. A prince of a man, an excellent pilot, and always had interesting conversations. Never a dull moment on our trips. Shared a few pints on layovers, and I will cherish those memories. He always talked about his family and what his kids were up to at any given time. It was very apparent that family was the focus of his life. That picture of him on the boat is the smile I always remembered, and I can hear his voice just looking at it. High Flight Captain Hollington you are missed !

Dear Cathy, Katie, Max, Adrianne, Shawnna, Kyra, Sarah, Jason and Chad. I wish you my most sincere condolences for your loss. It truly saddened me to learn about the passing of Mr. Hollington (as I knew him). Growing up alongside all of you was such a privilege. Mr. Hollington welcomed me in your home like a daughter, I will be forever grateful for the values I learned thanks to his kindness. I will be in touch with you soon. From the land of the wild rose (Alberta), I am thinking of you all. Love, Emilie

Catherine and family. My sincere condolences to you. Don and I were on the initial course together at Air Canada, away back in 1980. Don was the "old man" in our class, I think he may have been all of thirty at the time! He was well regarded by his course mates. When our paths would cross later during our careers I remember that Don was always quick with a smile. A true gentleman.

Catherine and family....all of us in the RAPCAN Kingston group share in your loss of a good friend. Don always added a bit of life to our monthly gatherings with his wit, good stories and that twinkle in his eyes. We hope that the good memories of you and Don at his beloved lake will soften the blow of your loss.

Very sad to learn of Don's passing. I can tell you that he was a popular fellow at Air Canada. Well liked and respected by his fellow pilots. My sincere condolences go to his family...the loved ones of a fine aviator and gentleman.
