Obituary of Sheila SYMMONDS
SYMMONDS, Sheila (nee Donnelly) Passed away on Tuesday morning, April 26, 2016 at Kingston General Hospital at 81 years of age. Sheila was the loving wife and best friend of Albert, her devoted husband and constant companion of 56 years. She is beloved by her four boys and their wives, Malcolm and Sandy, Phillip and Jennifer, Graham and Barbara and Peter and Jo. She was a wonderful grandmother (Nana) to her grandchildren David, Keaghan, Mae and Molly who were precious jewels in her eyes and could do no wrong.
Sheila was born and raised in Middlesbrough, England, coming to Canada with Albert in 1962 to raise her family. She trained as a nurse and worked for many years at hospitals in Mississauga and Kingston.
Sheila was notable for her remarkable strength and resilience which, with the infinite devotion and dedication of Albert, allowed her to overcome many physical battles over many years. Her strength was evident to the end.
But most of all she was noted for her kindness. She was said by everyone to have been the kindest person they had ever met, and that sentiment would be echoed by her family close and extended.
