Obituary of Arlene B. SIMPSON

SIMPSON, Arlene B. - passed away on April 22, 2016, at the Kingston General Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Harold Simpson for 35 years, dear mother of daughter Kathryn Huse (husband Keith Enhagen), son Darrell Huse, grandmother to Cole Huse, sister Caroline Brosseau, (husband Ray). She will be sadly missed by her family, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Born on November 25th, 1937, in the Fitch Bay/North Hatley eastern townships of Quebec, Arlene was the consummate volunteer giving back to the community over 35 years at Extendicare and the Loyalist Community Sharing Centre. She enjoyed people and many passions including sewing, cooking, winning at the casino and watching her golf and Blue Jays. The family wishes to thank the staff at Kingston General Hospital and St. Mary's of the Lake for their care and compassion. A Celebration of Arlene's wonderful life will be held on Friday, May 20th, 2016 from 12noon - 2:00PM in the JAMES REID RECEPTION CENTRE, please use rear doors (1900 John Counter Boulevard). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to UHKF (Cancer Centre of SE ON) or the Kingston Humane Society would be appreciated.
