Obituary of Cecil Alfred KNIGHT
Cecil Alfred Knight, -
June 11, 1933 - April 20, 2016
A butcher, a baker, a candlestick maker... Well, certainly the first two anyway!
While employed as a butcher, Cecil's passion had always been self-employment. With his life long partner, Lois, by his side, he made the jump into a successful business. Their bakery was his passion; donuts, pies, cakes... and coffee, yes lots of coffee. Much like the endless varieties of pastries, Cecil's life was a variety of passions. Cecil's greatest passion was his family through which he derived immeasurable enjoyment. He loved travelling with his wife, Lois, his children Jeff (Carolyn), Karen (Kevin), Jamie (Ruth), grandchildren Matt, Tara, Lauren, Ashley, Megan, and great grandchild Kaylynne. The legacy of his humour and wit passionately resonates throughout his descendants. An enthusiastic artist, Cecil's passion was evident. He won several ribbons in international carving competitions, enjoyed creating pictures through air brushing, drawing, and scratch padding. Many hours were spent carving, drawing or painting. Cecil is predeceased by two brothers, and is survived by his sister June Ash.
A private service for family and close friends was held Monday April 25th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at prostatecancer.ca, or Canadian Cancer Society
