Obituary of Gwen SMITH

SMITH, Gwen - Long-time Employee of Walmart Kingston - Peacefully passed away at the Kingston General Hospital on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Gwen, was predeceased by her parents Victor and Mary Smith and by her brother Gary. She is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her brother Ken (Hilda), her sisters Sandra and Janet, by her greatly adored niece Stephanie Levair (Joseph) and her great niece Savannah Levair. Gwen will be sadly missed by her loving cousins Debbie and Diane, her special friends Tim and Eric, the Grigg family and all her many friends and coworkers at Walmart. Gwen 's family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the Emergency Department and the staff of Connell 9 at KGH and also to the staff at the Cancer Centre of SE ON at KGH. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 1:00pm. Friends will be received on Monday from 11:00am - 12:45pm before the service. Reverend Christopher Doering to officiate. A private family committal service will be held at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Gwen' s memory may be made to the U.H.K.F. (Cancer Centre of SE ON or to the Palliative Care Unit, both at KGH).
