Obituary of Ada Isabelle MACEWEN

MacEWEN, Ada Isabelle - Peacefully at Kingston General Hospital, Ada passed away surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Art MacEwen for 68 years. Loving mother of Brian (Mary), Joan (Adrian) Alblas and Arleen (Michael) Grace. Dear grandma of Jason, Glen, Shaun, Grant, Ashley, Mark and great grandma of Alyvia, Brynn and Ethan. Heartfelt appreciation to The Rosewood Retirement Residence staff, Mom's extended family for the past eight years, where she was adored by staff and fellow residents alike. Special thanks to the caring staff of Connell 9 at the Kingston General Hospital during her last few days. Resting at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME (1900 John Counter Boulevard). Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Andrew Johnston of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to service time. Interment Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
