Obituary of Frances SHAW

SHAW, Frances Irene (nee Normand)- In her 96th year, passed away peacefully at St. Mary s of the Lake Hospital on April 10, 2016. Frances, beloved wife of Frank (deceased). Daughter of Alphonse and Mary Normand. Loving Mother of Claudia (Newman) Brockville, deceased, and Janice (Moore) Kingston. Grandmother of Michelle Wreggitt, Kingston, and Todd Newman, Brockville. Great Grandmother of Patrick, Phillip, Katelyn, Gabriella, Grace and Amelia. Sister of Matilda, Margaret, Madeline, Eva, Thelma, Audrey, Howard, Archie and Jack, all deceased. After retiring from a lengthy career as a Securities Officer with Royal Trust Head Office, Bay St., Toronto, Frances enjoyed many years of world travel with her husband Frank. From the Great Wall of China to Alaska, Thailand, the Pacific Rim and all of Europe, she loved adventure and treasured the memories. In keeping with Frances ' wishes cremation has taken place. A family prayer service will be held. A celebration of Life and visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 2-4pm in the Reception Centre of the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., (please enter from the rear parking lot doors). For those who wish, donations in Frances' memory may be made to the U.H.K.F. (Acute Stroke Unit at KGH).
