Obituary of Rupert Wayne DUNN

DUNN, Rupert Wayne (Retired, 34 year MTO employee) Peacefully at Rideaucrest Home, surrounded by the love of his family, on Sunday, December 13, 2015. Rupert Dunn, in his 72nd year, beloved husband of Mary (nee Rodgers) of Kingston, for 50 years. Loving father of Shelverdeen "Shelly" Nikas (and her husband Jim). Affectionately known as "Grandpa" to his granddaughter, Christina. Survived by his brother Bill Dunn (Frances) and sisters-in-law Bernice and Wilma Dunn. Predeceased by brothers Harry and Glenn Dunn and sister Helen Coaty (Fred). Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families. Funeral service in the Chapel of the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Thursday, December 17 at 11:30 am., with The Rev'd Canon Reg Gilbert and The Rev'd Don Goodwin officiating. Rupert's family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:20 am, and following the service, in the Reception Centre. Cremation will be followed by Inurnment in Cataraqui Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the March of Dimes or St. Luke's Anglican Church, in Mr. Dunn's memory.
