My condolences to Melford Gummer's family. I worked with Mel as his pharmacy storeman from 1986 to 1987. He was a truly inspirational man, as a young Corporal, I would listen to his stories and seek his advice. During that time, my family received one of his dog's puppies. We had Pepper for many happy years. Mel will be missed by all who knew him.

Marsh and family: I am so sorry to hear about Mel passing. What a wonderful life he had and to such an age. You were very lucky to have him so long. I remember him from France at Marville in the 1960s and again meeting with him at the Garrison Curling Club a number of years ago. He recalled me and my family from France which was a real treat given the number of years since we were there. Best wishes to you all.
