Obituary of James MCALLISTER

McAllister, James (Mickey) Suddenly on Wolfe Island on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. Husband of Penny McAllister. Dear father of Heather Murphy (David) and James "Jamie" (Katie). He will be missed by granddaughters Haylie, Julia, Maya and Sophia. Brother of Leon McAllister, Janet Martin (Albert), Elaine Janzer (James), Robert McAllister (Kathryn), Wayne McAllister, Karl McAllister (Joanne), Joseph McAllister (Cathy), predeceased by his parents Jim and Julia (nee Greenwood) McAllister and sister Marion Tuttle. Fondly remembered by Zeta and Rich and many nieces and nephews. Mickey was known as a man of few words but will be remembered for his deep passion for the outdoors and wildlife and his deeper love for his granddaughters. Missed by his faithful pal Toey. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to all of the first responders. Family and friends will be received at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd. on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Wolfe Island, on Monday, December 14 at 11 a.m. Rite of committal Sacred Heart Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Wolfe Island Ambulance Service would be appreciated by the family.
