Obituary of Valerie Jarrell

Jarrell, Valerie Anne

May 30, 1958 – March 11, 2018

Valerie passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday March 11, 2018. She will be missed dearly by her loving spouse Gary Contant, daughter Sarah, and son-in-law Mitch. Valerie is survived by her mother Gwen Smith and step-father Gord Smith. She will be remembered by brother Bill Shields and sister Vikki Shields. Val was predeceased by her father Bill Shields Sr.

Val was happiest when curled up with a book on the deck at the lake in Inverary or by the pool in Florida.  She loved to golf, to boat and to spend time outdoors.  She was a positive force to all that knew her and will be remembered lovingly and missed dearly.

There will be a visitation on Saturday March 17, 2018 at the James Reid Funeral Home from 11am until 12:50pm, with the funeral service to follow at 1pm in the chapel. Everyone is invited to a reception after the service in the James Reid Reception Centre.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to a charity of your choice in memory of Val.
