It is with great sadness we announce the passing of William (Bill) on Monday, February 5, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bill will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 55 years, June Buckley (nee Ryder). Loving father of Shawn (Marjorie), Scott (Siobhan) and Duane (Heather). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Tyler, Santiago, Andrew, Cassandra, Brandon, Makenzie, Madison and Maggie. Bill, is predeceased by his parents Ernest Buckley and Muriel Buckley (nee Palmer) and is predeceased by his sister Elizabeth Haynes and his brother Ronald Buckley (Charlotte).  He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Bill was a Dupont retiree with 34 years of dedicated service and will be fondly remembered by his former co-workers. The family will receive friends at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Monday, February 12, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, February 13, at 11:00 am to be followed by a private family interment at Cataraqui Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to U.H.K.F. (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario) or the Kingston Humane Society would be appreciated.
