Obituary of Fern Jessie Louise Stimson

STIMSON, Fern Jessie Louise

June 17, 1922 - January 29, 2018

Peacefully passed away after a short illness at Arbour Heights at the age of 95.  Fern was the only child of Dr. William Berry and Margaret Berry.  Mother of Cheryl Elizabeth Hitchen (Richard) and Darlene Margaret Alice Stimson.  Cherished grandmother of Adam Turner, Brendon Berry, Sara Lagacé (Marcus) and Tyler Mastantuono (Jasmin) and very proud great-grandmother of twins, Anna and Benson Lagacé.  Fern was predeceased by her husband Arthur Stimson.  Since retiring from being principal of Surrey Place Centre, Toronto, Fern has travelled the world, Europe, Africa, South America, Asia and most recently Mongolia in 2010.  She was a supporter of many environmental, health and Third World charities and to continue with her support, donations in her memory may be made to Doctors without Borders or a charity of your choice.  A celebration of her incredible life will be held later in the spring.
