Obituary of Frederick George Paquin
Died peacefully on January 27, 2018, surrounded by his family at the age of 90. Fred of Kingston Ontario, beloved husband of Leta for over 67 years. Loving father of the late Fred (Susie), Gary (Sherry), Brian (Nancy), and Karen Zanet-deGruchy (Mark). Cherished grandfather of Freddie (Carrie), Ken (Jenna), Lyndsey, Steve (Jess), Dave (Cristina), and great grandfather of Jordan, Jack and Finn. Fred is also survived by siblings Eleanor Allen (Bob) and Ron Paquin (Dawn), sister-in-law Joan Grills and his extended family, who he loved as his own. Fred will be fondly remembered by his family and friends in the Kingston area and Florida, where he and Leta wintered since retirement in 1990. Fred began his welding and machinist career in Kingston, ultimately retiring as a technical teacher from Correctional Services of Canada. Fred had a deep love for his family and a passion for country music. He entertained for many years in the Kingston area and opened concerts for legendary musicians, including Hank Williams Sr. and Ernest Tubbs. Friends will be received at the James Reid Funeral Home - Reception Centre, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, Kingston (please enter the Reception Centre from the rear parking lot doors) on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with Words of Remembrance to commence at 11:30 am.
