Obituary of Stewart A. M. Turnbull

TURNBULL, Stewart Alexander McGowan
Following a brief illness, Stewart died peacefully at Kingston Health Sciences Centre-KGH with family at his side, on Saturday, January 20, 2018. Stewart Turnbull, in his 79th year, beloved husband of 48 years to Ellen Joanne (nee Whalen) who predeceased him in 2015. Loving father of Karen Herrington (Jim Chalk) of Kingston.  Affectionately known as "Poppa" to his granddaughters, Sarah Ann Elizabeth Herrington and Avery Alexandra Sierra Herrington.  He is predeceased by his parents, James and Evelyn (nee Freebairn) Turnbull. Stewart will be remembered by his cousin, Mary Hackett and her family, of Nanaimo, BC, as well as numerous close friends.  Cremation in the care of JAMES REID CREMATORIUM.  Stewart's cremated remains will be interred with his devoted wife Ellen, during a private graveside service at Cataraqui Cemetery with The Venerable Bill Clarke officiating.  In recognition of Stewart's affection for his former pets, donations in his memory may be made to the Kingston Humane Society.
