Douglas James Vallier

1955-2018

Doug passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at home with his wife, Dionna, by his side at their home in Bath, Ontario on January 14, 2018. Doug is survived by his daughters Melody (Mike) and Emily (Dustin) (children of Cathy), and his mother Tippy. He will be missed by his brothers and sisters, Terry, Tommy, Debbie and Shelley and all of their children. He will be greatly missed by his two cats, Mick and Bella.

Doug was a beloved bassist throughout the Kingston area. Music and bass was his passion. He will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family. A celebration of life will take place at the Blu Martini on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 3-9pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joe Chithalen Memorial Musical Instrument Lending Library.

As Pink Floyd would say, Doug is now up rockin’ in The Great Gig in the Sky.
