Obituary of Glenda Jean Joyce

JOYCE, Glenda Jean
(nee Purdy)-
Lifetime member of Womens Institute; First female President of Kingston and District  Agricultural Society
Peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Friday, December 8, 2017.  Beloved wife of the late John W. Joyce who predeceased her in February 2007.  Mother of R. J. Joyce and Cathy Long (Lorne).  Granny of John Long.  Glenda is also survived by her special "Sis" Laurie Kenny.  Cremation has taken place and the family will gather privately at Cataraqui Cemetery for interment.  In accordance with Glenda's wishes, a Memorial Reception will be held in the RECEPTION AND CELEBRATION CENTRE OF JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Tuesday, December 12 between the hours of 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. (Enter from the rear parking lot). Please, just bring your hugs and smiles as this will be a very "come as you are" gathering of friends and acquaintances.  As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kingston Humane Society in Glenda's name.
