Obituary of Joan Ellen Waller

Waller, Joan (nee Halligan) in her 75th year after a short but courageous fight, passed away with her family by her side on Friday, November 10, 2017. Born in 1942 and a life-long resident of Kingston, the daughter of the late Ethel and John (Hap) Halligan. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Mike Waller; her son, Shawn Waller and his wife Heather, devoted and loving Grandsons, Zachariah and Brigham of Parham; and her sisters June Fabbri (late Albert), Doris Peterkin-MacLean (Gordon, late Bob), Cora (Tootie) Wilson (Ron), and Barbara Winter (Butch).  Predeceased by her brother Sonny Halligan (Gayla). She is lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended-family and friends.  

Special thanks for the wonderful care and compassion of Dr. Kondor, her team and the nurses of Providence Care Hospital. The family will receive guests at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, RECEPTION & CELEBRATION CENTRE, 1900 John Counter Blvd on Wednesday, (Please enter from the rear parking lot) November 15, 2017, from 5-8 pm. Funeral service at ST. JOHN'S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 41 Church Street on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 11:00 am, followed by interment at Cataraqui Cemetery.
