Obituary of Joan Marie Arcand

ARCAND, Joan Marie-
It is with hearts broken beyond measure that we announce the passing of Joan Marie Arcand on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the age of 66 at Providence Care in Kingston, Ontario.  Cherished wife and sweetheart for 46 wonderful years to Lyle;  loving mother and best friend to Kelly Calthorpe (Darryl), Ryan (Kim Smith), Amanda Johnston (Wes); proud "Grandma" to Sarah, Garrett, Emma, Xavier, Avery, Emma-Jo, McKenna, Kyle, Logan and Holly.  Leaving behind her brothers Doug (Gloria), Patrick (Elaine), sister Wanda Sheldrick (Gary) and sister-in-law Elizabeth Pelkey; brothers-in-law Wayne Arcand (Nora Lea), Allan Arcand (CarolAnn), sisters-in-law Diane Arcand (Deborah Peck), Marilyn Panagapko (Gord), Marie Havekes (Bill), Caroline Wright (Randy), Louise Beckinsale (Bob Volks).  Predeceased by her parents Audrey and Cecil Pelkey;  brothers Andrew and Bruce, sisters Linda and Laura and brother-in-law David Beckinsale.   "Aunt Joan" will be missed by her many, many nieces and nephews and their families. Joan was our constant, our Northern star and our South Carolina sun who has taught us how to love life, how to hold our loved ones close and how to cherish the many beautiful memories that she has left behind.  Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 11:00am at BLESSED SACRAMENT CATHOLIC CHURCH (3 Briscoe Street, Amherstview).  Reception to follow in the Parish Hall.  Donations in memory of Joan may be made to Interval House Kingston or U.H.K.F. (Palliative Care at Providence Care).
