It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beverley (Bev) Pierog. Surrounded by her family, on November 1st, 2017 at the age of 69, she lost her courageous battle with cancer.  Beloved wife to Gilbert and loving mother to Cathy Vandegraaf (Paul), Jason Pierog (Romney) and Jamie Pierog (Lynzi).  Cherished ``Mama`` to Meaghan, Ian, Marissa, Mark, Myles, Graham and Aiden.  She will be sadly missed by her twin sister, Bonnie Huyck (Dale), Shirley Wickett (late Walt), Lori Rae, her "favourite" brother Larry Martin (Jean) and sister-in-law Kathleen Pierog. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Born in Napanee to Roy and Naomi Martin, Bev and Gil navigated military postings and raised their family in Kingston, Ottawa, Dartmouth N.S, Petawawa, and Rockland before settling back in Kingston.  Bev was a fixture at S&R Department Store and Vandervoort Hardware always offering a friendly smile to customers and colleagues. She was a compassionate, loving woman who always put her family first.  The family would like to thank the staff at KGH Davies 4 ICU and Connell 10 for their efforts during Bev's time in the hospital. A celebration of life will be held at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, RECEPTION & CELEBRATION CENTRE, 1900 John Counter Blvd on Saturday November 25th, from 3 - 5 pm. (Please enter the Reception Centre from the rear parking lot).  In lieu of flowers please send a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or OSPCA.
